Nuke
This week was the final deadline for my Nuke composition. I felt like the overall look of my shot was good but it was just lacking something, so I decided to add some futuristic buildings. These buildings were generated using Lumalabs Genie AI Luma AI – Genie this AI creates 3D models based on a prompt. I put these models into Blender and rendered them with a transparent background. Then I added them to my comp and graded them to fit in with the background.

I also learned how to do 3D tracking inside of Nuke, this method is different to 3D Equalizer as you dont have to manually set the points and you don’t have to leave the compositing software to get the tracking data. Once I had my scene tracked and errors reduced I could add objects to the 3D scene within nuke to test that the track was working correctly.

Project
Now that my the shape of my car was complete I marked the edges and seams of the object then unwraped the UVs and packed them to get the maximum texel density.

Once the model was unwraped I could begin adding materials to it so I can compare the model with my reference images.
